Hestia is named for the Greek Goddess, Hestia (Roman Name Vesta), the goddess of the hearth. She was described as beloved and eternal, kind and forgiving, and personified the fire burning in the hearth of every home in Greece.  While there are very few stories about Hestia, she was worshipped at every temple, resided over the public hearth in every city, and every meal began and ended with an offering to Hestia and is an overlooked deity in the Greek and Roman Pantheon.  Her priorities were family and community, a soothing Hearth and Home.
